dvdp wins architect selection in Breda. This spring, our office was selected as an architect by Amvest for the Backer en Rueb project, an elaboration of the Rijnboutt urban development plan. It concerns the transformation of two monumental industrial halls into a cultural address for the visual arts, the renovation and expansion of the existing office building, and the new construction with homes, living/working units and commercial facilities. An assignment as part of a strong urban plan for this former industrial zone, and an assignment that requires something special from each component of the program, so that the whole ultimately results in a unique and characterful address in Breda.
